The string bed is the only part of the racquet that touches the ball. Even the best racquet plays badly with tired strings or the wrong tension. We string every racquet on the electronic Wilson Baiardo XL, which pulls each string to a steady, precise tension.
- Removing the old strings and checking the frame and grommets.
- Stringing at the tension you choose, or the one we recommend for your game.
- Different tensions on mains and crosses, or a hybrid with two strings, if you want.
- A free logo stencil on the new strings.
What tension should I choose?
Lower tension gives more power and comfort. Higher tension gives more control. Polyester strings are usually strung a little looser than multifilaments. If you're not sure, start in the middle of the range printed on your racquet. There's more in our guide on what tension to string your racquet at.
How often should I restring?
A simple rule says to restring as many times a year as you play each week. With polyester, or if you're losing control, you probably need it more often. See how often to restring.
